#MY LAPTOPS BUT TKEYBOARD WONT TYPE WINDOWS#
When I open the Windows On-Screen-Keyboard, I can see it still registers CTRL, SHIFT, Windows key etc. So that would mean my laptop keyboard, without getting touched, suddenly gets a physical sticky key that's immediately gone on a reboot. But even when I disconnect the external keyboard when this issue occurs, it still persists. I use the external keyboard pretty much exclusively, so the laptop keyboard isn't getting touched. The issue occuring is super inconsistent I feel like, but once it's there it doesn't go away at all, no matter what I try. Restarting the system gets rid of all issues immediately, and they usually won't come back for several days.
I rarely eat at my laptop/keyboard and clean it quite regularly. I'm definitely gonna try this, but I still doubt it is the issue. The amount of keys you can press at once varies from keyboard models. It also shouldn't be a ghosting keyboard, but if multiple keys are being pressed at once it could be. Since you said restarting it fixes it, it shouldn't be the ribbon connector from the keyboard to the motherboard. It may just be easier to take the entire keyboard off then blast air down it. Since you have a laptop I would recommend looking on YouTube. Just pop the keys off and clean under it. Like having a extra keyboard attached but off to the side, then a book lands on the space key or esc key. You can plug in multiple keyboards and have them fight for control. The reason I am going with sticky keys is the extra keyboard you plugged in. If you spilled some type of liquid that is sticky after it dries, can cause this as well. I have seen ramen noodles do this multiple times. This can be caused by food getting under the keys. What I mean is a key is being pressed on the keyboard underneath the key.
